How does Laser Hair Removal work exactly?
The GentleMax Pro laser works by thermally damaging the hair follicle, resulting in a permanent reduction of hair growth. The laser is either attracted to the melanin in the hair, or thermal energy is delivered directly to the dermis, stopping hair growth. Whilst the hair follicle experiences thermal damage, the surrounding tissue is unaffected.
After 1-2 weeks the treated hair simply falls out. At approximately 6 weeks the next cycle of hair becomes apparent. How many sessions do I need?
In approximately 6-8 treatments you will see optimal results, eliminating your need to shave or wax! Sessions are spaced 4-8 weeks apart, dependant on the area we are treating. We always suggest starting with 6 sessions (we offer packages), to ensure a committed journey to amazing results!
